Merry Christmas Eve, Eve everyone! xD I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
I am here to share with you a tasty cookie recipe I found in Southern Living magazine.
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg and vanilla, beating until blended. Next combine flour and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Cover and chill 1 hour or until dough is firm
Preheat oven to 350. Divide dough in half; roll each portion to 1/8 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut dough into assorted shapes with 1 1/2 to 4 3/4 inch cutters; place on parchment paper-lined or sprayed baking sheets.
Bake at 350 for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute; transfer to wire racks and cool completely. (about 20 minutes)
Hope you enjoy them!
