I know being a modest young Christian
girl is hard. I find being modest so hard because on Ash Wednesday when I went to
church I was the only young girl wearing a dress there. I felt kind of awkward because all the other
girls were wearing jeans that were so tight I could have seen the outline of a
bobby pin in their pockets. I try to wear things that are cute, fashiony,
modest, and Lord praising.
Here are some great tips about how to
make sure you are dressing modest:
1. When you are wearing shorts, remember
that they should be long enough that guys don't stare at your butt. I've known
girls who thought that if they were wearing shorts, it wasn't their fault that
guys would stare at them. But you see,
it is because we girls should not give that temptation to guys. Same policy
stands for long jeans. Make sure they are not too tight. They do not have to look like bags on you,
just loose enough so that they do not see every outline of your skin.
2. Try not to shake your hips when you
walk.
3. When you are wearing a dress, make
sure that the dress is no shorter than the top of your knee. You can always tell when the dress is too
short when you bend over and the bottom of it literally shows your butt. If it happens
to be as short as the top of your knee, when you bend over, just bend on your
knees instead of bending over in it and being scandalous.
If the dress is lower in top and you are wearing a tank top, the best way to
make sure that no cleavage is showing is to bend over. If a lot of your chest shows, it is too
low. If only a little shows, it should
be fine.
These three things have helped me in
dressing modestly as to honor God in the way that I dress.

Dont you think the "no hip shaking when you walk" is a bit much? XD
